about
a deeply personal creative project
Lovestar began as a deeply personal creative project following the birth of Helen's third child - a way to bring creativity, beauty, and care back into everyday life during a difficult time.
Out of difficulty came creativity; out of creativity came joy. In time, Lovestar took shape.
Today, Lovestar is a reflection of a life lived with curiosity, care and love. We work with exceptional artisans and produce in considered small batches. Handmade is embraced. Craft is honoured. Every piece is made with intention.
Lovestar carries the imprint of Helen's Greek heritage and childhood summers by the ocean.
in many ways, it is a rebellion against speed - a celebration of slower living.
Each piece is thoughtfully and meticulously designed to live not only in the home, but to encourage small moments of care, calm and connection.
greek heritage
Much of Lovestar's inspiration is rooted in Helen's Greek heritage - a way of living shaped by slowness, presence and simple pleasures - good food, good company, a drink in hand and nowhere urgent to be. It's this spirit of slowing down and finding beauty in everyday rituals that inspires our design philosophy.
Below are photographs of Helen's family home on the island of Kythera in Greece.
Built circa 1573, the house is a simple one-bedroom Venetian home that has remained largely unchanged for more than 450 years. Perched high on a hilltop in the village of Hora, it looks out over the Mediterranean and towards the 'Castro' (the Castle) - built around the same time as the house.
a philosophy of slow living
in a culture defined by speed, overstimulation and emotional fatigue, lovestar quietly rebels.
We believe time is the rarest luxury. not something to optimise, but something to feel. To move more slowly. To notice what is often missed. To create space for beauty, for thought.
lovestar was never created to chase trends or spectacle. it exists to explore a different idea of luxury - one built on time, care, craft and meaning.
- For those who value time, intention and beauty.
